Baruch 2:5

They were brought down and not lifted up, because we sinned against the Lord our God by not listening to his voice.
And we are brought under, and are not uppermost: because we have sinned against the Lord our God, by not obeying his voice.
We sinned against the Lord our God and refused to obey him. Therefore, our nation was conquered, instead of being victorious.
We are brought low, not raised high, because we sinned against the Lord, our God, not listening to his voice.
Instead of being raised up, we have been brought low, because in ignoring his precepts, we have sinned against the Lord, our God.
They were brought down and not raised up, because our nation sinned against the Lord our God, in not heeding his voice.
They were brought down and not raised up, because our nation sinned against the Lord our God, in not heeding his voice.
They were brought down and not raised up, because our nation sinned against the Lord our God, in not heeding his voice.
They were brought down and not raised up, because we sinned against the Lord our God and did not listen to his voice.
They were brought low and not raised up, because we sinned against the Lord our God, in not heeding his voice.
They were brought low and not raised up, because we sinned against the Lord our God, in not heeding his voice.
And we be made beneath, and not above; for we sinned to our Lord God, in not obeying to the voice of him. [And we be made underneath, and not above; for we have sinned to the Lord our God, not well-hearing the voice of him.]
